Save fall rv camping at lincoln state park

    We bought a camper

This past spring (2018), Alex and I bought a camper. He grew up camping (in an RV) almost every weekend with his grandparents. I tent camped a handful of times in my youth, and mostly in our backyard. It was always fun but happened so rarely that I didn’t think much about it. I had no idea I was missing out on such an incredible experience.

As an adult, I compare it to the high you get on vacation. You can truly relax and do the things you really want to do without having that endless to do list in the back of your mind. Yes, there are chores to be done while camping, but I’m just so damn happy that I don’t mind doing them or ignoring them entirely. I’ll be honest, we are messy campers. This past year, we camped 10+ times. That’s a lot of happy time.

We haven’t camped since November, and we are definitely getting the itch. Do we get the camper out and then re-winterize or wait until the really harsh weather is behind us? Let us know if you cold weather camp and what some of your favorite spots are.
